Winnie is a lifetime native of Greene and has had the pleasure of serving as organist/choir director for several decades. Earning degrees from SUNY Broome, Hartwick College, and University of Phoenix in music, vocal performance, and education, Winnie enjoyed teaching music and directing musicals for the Gilbertsville-Mount Upton School District, where she retired in 2017. Winnie remains active in the music world playing keyboard and sewing costumes for local theatre groups, judging voice and piano at NYSSMA festivals, guest conducting, and teaching private voice lessons.
